Barlow is a village in the northeast of Derbyshire and is four miles northwest of Chesterfield.
Barlow is home to Lee/ Lea Bridge which is grade II listed and was an early eighteenth century packhorse bridge. It is described as being “a substantially complete example of rural bridge engineering”.
On the edge of the village of Barlow lies Barlow Woodseats Hall. This grade II listed manor house from the seventeenth century is the only manor house in the parish.
British comedian and entertainer Bernie Clifton currently resides in Barlow and is well known for his ostrich puppet costume Oswald the Ostrich!
